About Matt Harper and This Site
Hi, I’m Matt Harper, the founder of PoolCareGuy.com, a site I started with one simple mission: to help people around the world clean and take care of their pools on their own, without the hassle.
I’m not a professional pool cleaner and don’t have any formal training, I’m just an average guy who loves hanging out by his pool and taking care of it, and after many years on the job, I’ve become quite good at it.
Since you landed on this page, let me tell you a few of the things you can expect to learn:
But hey, that’s just the tip of the proverbial iceberg. I will be teaching you absolutely everything I know about pools.
And as a long-time pool owner myself, that’s a lot!
So, who will benefit from this site?
Well, first of all, you probably need to be a pool owner yourself to care at all about what I have to say.
Or at least someone interested in owning one in the future. But, to narrow it down, you are in the right place if you are:
But, why should you listen to me?
The first thing you should know about me is that I have been a pool owner for a LONG time and had a really hard time finding good quality information that helped me take care of my pool.
So, through trial and error and as much research as I could find, I figured out all the ins and outs of this whole pool maintenance thing.
Because just like you, I wanted to save money by taking care of it myself. (Plus, I also kind of weirdly enjoy it.)
After years of doing this, I decided it was time to share everything I learned with other pool owners.
That’s why I decided to start this website.
What better way to help people learn how to maintain their pools themselves than to make the information available online?
My hope is that you will find every answer you need for maintaining your own pool and that I can make it as easy to understand as possible.
And listen, if you have any questions or would like to see an in-depth how-to about something you can’t find here, please let me know by emailing me at poolcareguyblog [at] gmail [dot] com.
I'm always happy to help!
